Start with the part that is verifiable
Separate the event you can describe from the motive or reaction you are guessing. For a message about how to request family or medical leave, use this factual base: state the role, policy, decision, dates, and process that apply without disclosing another employee's information.
Make one answerable request
Give the recipient one concrete question or next step instead of several emotional jobs at once. Explain the available next step, support, review route, or deadline and name the correct contact. Make the immediate next step clear enough that the recipient can answer without reconstructing the entire history.
Leave the recipient in control
Do not imply a guaranteed outcome, retaliate, or use informal pressure where a formal process is required. Use HR, a representative, legal advice, or emergency support for discrimination, harassment, threats, or immediate danger. A clear message remains useful even when the answer is no or no answer arrives.
