Being blocked

Reach an ex who blocked you

Being blocked by someone you loved is its own kind of grief. If there is one thing left to say, there is a way to offer it that respects their choice completely.

Separate the message from the pattern

An ex who blocks you has set a boundary. Do not reinterpret that boundary as permission for one final emotional message. If they have asked for no contact, respect it. Practical matters may be better handled through a neutral third party or another appropriate formal channel.

Be ruthless with yourself here. Wanting them back is human, but it is not the same as having something to say to them. Paying to ask does not buy a reunion, and going in hoping it might is the fastest way to hurt yourself again.

What an honest reach-out looks like

With Kildr, your ex receives one private link. It shows your name and the amount you put behind the message before they read a word. Then the choice is entirely theirs: open, decline, or block you on Kildr.

The amount shows what the sender chose to pay Kildr for delivery. It does not prove sincerity, change, urgency, or trustworthiness, and the recipient should not treat it as evidence that they owe the message attention.

  • They see who is asking and what was paid before the message opens.
  • One request carries one message - there is no open chat thread to spiral into.
  • A decline is final for that message. A normal block lasts until they remove it; Never contact me again can be made permanent.

Write it as if it is the last thing they read from you

Because it might be. Say the true thing plainly. Own your part without a defense attached. Do not ask for a call, a coffee, or a reply - give them permission to do nothing with it.

If, after writing it, you realize the message only works if they respond, you have not written a message yet. You have written the first line of an argument you want to have.

Common questions

People also ask

Should I reach out to an ex who blocked me?
Only if you have one real thing to say and can be at peace with no reply. If what you want is reconciliation, understand that paying to ask does not buy it, and going in expecting it usually deepens the hurt.
Is contacting a blocked ex harassment?
Repeated, disguised, or pressuring contact can be. A single announced request the recipient can refuse in one tap is a different thing - they stay fully in control and nothing is forced on them.
What do I say to an ex who blocked me?
Say the one true thing, own your part, and ask for nothing. Keep it short, and end by giving them explicit permission not to respond. If the message only works with a reply, it is not ready to send.

What Kildr supports now

The full request stays simple. The controls around it are deliberate.

Opening is free

Recipients never pay to open or read a Kildr message. Before opening, they see who is asking when the sender chose to identify themselves and the total amount paid. A sender phone number is shown only when the sender explicitly chooses to share it.

The recipient stays in control

A recipient can decline without opening, block one sender, opt out of Kildr entirely, or report an opened message. A normal sender block can be removed by the recipient later. Declining means that message can never be viewed afterward.

Three optional responses

After opening, the recipient can choose “I need to think”, “Text me”, or “Never contact me again”. The first two can be switched after a 10-minute cooldown. “Never contact me again” is final, and the recipient can permanently block that sender or all Kildr requests.

Themes and read receipts are optional

Senders can choose free themes or buy a premium theme. An active paid theme is added to the visible Amount paid total. A separate read-receipt add-on unlocks Opened and Read status; without it, the sender's lifecycle information stops at Delivered.

Paying creates the request and optional sender features. It never creates an obligation for the recipient to open, respond, unblock, or make contact.

Message someone who blocked you, honestly

A block is a boundary and deserves respect. If the person has explicitly told you not to contact them, do not use Kildr to reach them. If the block is ambiguous and there is a genuinely necessary practical reason to make one request, the recipient must remain fully free to decline or block it.

Say sorry to an ex

A real apology asks for nothing. If you hurt someone you once loved and want to own it, there is a way to say so that leaves them fully in control.

Get closure after a breakup

Closure is something you give yourself by saying the true thing, not something the other person owes you. You can do that cleanly, once, and then let it go.

No contact & silence

Reach an ex during no contact

No contact is a boundary. If the other person asked for no contact, do not use Kildr to send an emotional message. For genuinely necessary practical matters, consider a neutral third party or another appropriate formal channel instead.
